Free Mindfulness Meditation

Thank you for your enquiry about our next mindfulness courses.

In the spirit of community and sharing, here’s a free mindfulness meditation track to listen to or download.

The 3-step breathing space is a fantastic little pocket-sized bit of mindfulness. Carry with you at all times and practice whenever you find the mind gets a little hectic, overwhelmed, or unhelpful.  Here’s how it works:

  1. In step one we take a moment to notice what’s going on in the mind i.e. busy, overwhelmed, reactive, fuzzy etc.  We also check in with how the body is.  What’s going on?  Just noticing how anxiety or anger show up, without judgment, just observing; tightness in the chest, heat in the face etc.
  2. Step two – attention now notices the breathing in the belly (if this feels comfortable, or wherever the breathing is most noticeable for you).  Simply following the sensations of the body breathing, with curiosity.  Bringing the mind back to noticing the breath every time the mind wanders, which it will do many times!
  3. Lastly, in step three, expand awareness to notice the whole body breathing.  Again, just noticing, observing, acknowledging.  When you feel a little more grounded or calm, feel free to move on into your day.

We use this a lot on the MBSR course so it will stand you in good stead if you are able to join us on the next mindfulness course (whether you enrol or not, it’s good to have a little bit of mindfulness in your day.)

Enjoy!
